Pastor Fred’s Biography

A. Origin
Fred and Grace Muyimba are the Senior Pastors of Harvest Christian Ministries which is headquartered in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Fred began this ministry in 1996 after his radical conversion and subsequent ordination into full time ministry. Fred willingly shares his testimony of how Christ saved him from a life of witchcraft and Satanism, healing his body and setting him free from demonic influence. He was raised during the reign of the terrorist Idi Amin.

B. Rejection by family
His father was a powerful witch doctor who expected Fred to follow in his footsteps. After meeting Jesus Christ and being healed through the street ministry of an evangelist in Kampala, Fred shared the God of the universe and His Son, Jesus Christ with his family.

Fred was rejected by his family (who were involved in witchcraft). They attempted to kill him because he killed the sacred snake which they used to worship in his father’s satanic temple. Fred fled into the jungle and later ended up in the streets. This helped to propel him into his evangelistic ministry and it opened a door for him to grow closer to God.

C. Suffering for the Gospel
Fred ministered to a member of Moslem community. Her husband was involved in the local defense offices. When the man realized that his wife accepted Christ, he contacted the police in Kampala which resulted in false accusations, torture and beatings, which deepened Fred’s commitment to Christ.

D. Marriage
In 1994 Fred married Grace and the Lord has continued to minister to them in the midst of their trials. To the glory of God, Pastor Fred’s parents accepted Jesus Christ in the year 2001.

E. First visit to USA
In 1996, Fred received an invitation to attend a Christian Leader’s conference in Virginia. Though he was only earning about $1.50 per day, Fred trusted God to bring him to the USA. By faith Fred and Grace managed to raise $723 for the air ticket. Leaving his wife in Kampala, Uganda with a new born baby, Fred traveled to the United States. Pastor Fred was confused with the similar sounding names of Newark and New York and he accidentally booked his flight to Newark, New Jersey instead of his original destination. On arrival, the immigration officers wanted to deport him because he had only $ 4.00 in his pocket but God had everything under control. The Lord brought an American Pastor to Fred who took him to his home. After three days of resting, the Pastor paid Fred’s bus ticket to Richmond Virginia and that is where he met brothers and sisters in Christ, who networked him with many others. Pastor Fred and Grace Muyimba have seventeen other Churches in Uganda which are spread in four different districts; Mpigi District, Kyengyojo, Kamwenge and Kabalore. The ministry is expanding and all the glory goes back to God.
